Ghost of Girlfriends Past

Ghost of Girlfriends Past is a romantic comedy film directed by Mark Waters. The plot of the film is based on Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol. A Christmas carol is a film that tells about the transformation of Ebenezer Scrooge, a man who doesn't believe in Christmas, after the supernatural visitations of Jacob Marley and the three ghosts: The Ghost of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come. Ghost of Girlfriends Past is a film starring Matthew McConaughey as Conner Mead and Jennifer Garner as Jenny Perotti.

Conner is a professional photographer who became a womanizing bachelor because of Wayne Mead, his uncle. Conner returns to his family estate for his brother's wedding, Paul to Sandra Volkom. There he sees Jenny, his chilhood sweetheart and former girlfriend, who serves as the wedding planner. Conner offends the guests for stating his rejection for love, romance, and marriage, trying to convince Paul not to pursue with the wedding. At night, Wayne visits Conner and tells him that he will be visited by three ghosts from which he will learn important things.

The first ghost to visit Conner was the ghost of girlfriends past, Allison, a high school friend. They went back through time and visited some scenes which focuses his relationship with Jenny who is his greatest childhood friend. By middle school, Conner's love for Jenny grew stronger but he had been hurt. Wayne told Conner that if he don't want to be hurt, he must never believe in love, romance, and the like. After sometime, Conner became a "bad boy"; he doesn't take girls seriously. Several years later, Conner fell in love with Jenny again. They had a relationship but because of the fear of getting hurt, he left her. From that time on his relationship with other girls became meaningless.

Conner wakes up thinking that everything was just a dream. In the house, he accidentally destroys the wedding cake, he tries to reconcile but they wont forgive him. Outside the house, the ghost of girlfriends present in the form of Melanie, his assistant, confronts him. He sees the guests making fun of him but his brother stands up for him and says that someday, he'll change. He also sees that Jenny is being confronted be Brad, making them closer to each other.

Going back to the house, he tries to fix the situation buy he only makes it worst. Paul told him to leave and on his way, he confronts the ghost of girlfriend future who takes him forward in time to see that Jenny is marrying Brad while Paul remains unwed. Also, he sees that Paul was his only mourner during his burial. Wayne appears and tells him the consequences of his ways and pushes him to his grave to be buried by his many girlfriends.

Conner wakes up and finds out that Sandra is leaving and the wedding was cancelled. He  hurriedly followed Sanda and asked for forgiveness. He said that if she realy loves his brother,  he will learn to forgive him. He shared the lessons he had learned from his own mistakes. Connor helps Jeny pull the wedding back together and reconciles with her afterward by
showing her the picture he still carries, and promises to be there when she wakes up.

"Some people do not believe in love. They are afraid to love again in fear to be fooled. They are afraid to love in fear of pain"

2011 Fortune Forecasts and Predictions

Fortune Forecast
General Forecast for 2011
Since this is the Year of the Rabbit, people born under the Rabbit sign will experience some undesirable impact. Poor health, career obstacles, relationship problems, and diminished income – these are some problems that the Rabbits are bound to face this year. Home life will also experience some disruption in the form of unexpected family issues and runaways. Your business may also experience some hindrances, so remember that looking ahead can be difficult, but attempting to make things right after they’d gone wrong can be just as problematic. Be cautious. Interpersonal relations will also suffer this year, with misunderstandings and reckless words causing stress between you and your family and friends. Students should double their efforts in their studies, lest they suffer setbacks. In other words, Rabbits should be more careful as they go about this year.
It’s not all misfortune for Rabbits this year, though. In the lunar months of June, September and October, a benefactor will extend a helping hand, and opportunities for improving your business, love life and career will appear. Rabbits should grab these opportunities and face them head-on with much confidence.

Wealth
Rabbits may be facing a deficit – and even bankruptcy – this year. You may even be forced to dip into your savings. Against your best judgment, the need to spend is strong and you’ll be likely to blow your income on unnecessary things, hence affecting your ability to save. This year, avoid investing, gambling, or lending money, as it might be impossible to recover the amount you put in. Be wary of your expenses!
Career
The year will not be favorable for working Rabbits, so do remember to put more enthusiasm into your interaction with your bosses and clients. Harmony is crucial this year so do try to avoid unnecessary word wars, especially with friends of the same gender. This could lead to the breakdown of relationships and could hinder your career development. Rabbits should face reality head-on and be serious in their work responsibilities to gain a significant achievement.
Relationship
Rabbits will have a more peaceful love life this year, but those who are single may not be able to meet any potential lovers. If you do meet someone you’re interested in, be bold, make the first move and do not let this opportunity pass you by. For married Rabbits, your domestic life will be a little humdrum, but take care not to mishandle relationship problems or you could end up with family discord to deal with.
Health
Your health fortune is quite worrisome this year, so address even the smallest illnesses quickly. Avoid temptation and give me more time to peace and meditation to ensure physical and mental health improvement. Be cautious, as you are prone to accidental injuries this year. Remember: try not to participate in risky and dangerous activities as well.

Special Forecast for the Youth
The year will not be smooth sailing for young Rabbits. You may experience some half-heartedness in your studies, and even love life. Parents should be more caring and loving, while young Rabbits themselves should apply themselves with double effort in order to achieve their goals. If not, it would be very easy for their academic performance to slide down this year. 2011 is good for traveling and broadening your horizons, but do take note of the cleanliness of food items you consume.
Special Forecast for Women
Married life is humdrum this year, but family and marital problems may easily appear. You must try to remain calm and increase your tolerance and understanding to avoid love problems. Health is generally the same for you this year, but remain cautious and ensure that you and your family are on a healthy diet. Young female Rabbits may experience negative developments in their love lives. A breakup may be imminent if you don’t put more effort into caring for the relationship.
Tips to Improve your Fortune
The Rabbit will run into a few unfortunate hindrances and misfortune in terms of career, health and wealth so display a green charm to counteract these. The “Three Harmonies” charm should be displayed in the eastern side of your home. This charm will help Rabbits improve their finances, lessen health woes, dispel negative vibes, increase wealth and allow them to meet the year’s good luck with a body in tip-top shape. Wear a matching “Three Harmonies” pendant to double the effect.
To improve your career or business, display an “Auspicious” charm in your home or office. This can help in your career and business progress, with a possible promotion in the near future.
For wealth, Rabbits should display a “Golden Frog of Wealth” charm in their homes, offices or business premises. Business will boom, income will grow and wealth is sure to follow.
Rabbits should display a “Double Lotus for Hundred-Fold Harmony” charm. Single Rabbits will experience increased desirability, while those already in relationships will find an improvement in their love lives as couples.
To improve your health, display a “Shen Ao [a turtle with a dragon’s head] Blesses the New Year” charm in your home. The charm will minimize illnesses and improve longevity, as well as reduce psychological and emotional pressure. You will be able to achieve relaxation at home, with a much better ambiance that contributes to overall good health.

People experience fears. Some lack courage to overcome these fears while others are brave enough to face them. It is true that we can't easily face our fears because they are exactly what we do not like. They are exactly what we are afraid of.

Sometimes, our fears are just products of our imagination. For example, the ghosts that most people fear of ... most people say that there are ghosts; some say that they have seen these "ghosts" but experts claim that their experience of seeing things might be a part of their imagination ... and maybe, these imaginations are caused by many factors such as movies that are watched by the person.

Despite these phobias or fears, we must always put in our mind that if we have the courage to face them, there is a big possibility for us to overcome these fears.

December 2010 Vacation

My Vacation? It was not that enjoying for me... My family and I stayed in Baguio for the whole vacation. There was nothing new... each day was just like an ordinary day. Actually, it doesn't seem a vacation for me.

Christmas Eve... it was not that enjoying either. My parents just grilled some food while my younger brother and I stayed inside the house and used the computer until twelve midnight. The next day, we went to SM and watched a movie (Si Agimat at Si Enteng Kabisote) after that, we ate and went home.

My parents planned to go to Pangasinan and celebrate our New Year there. I was so excited because I wanted to be with my cousins; it's been a long time since we had visited our province and I know that there will be lots of fun there.

I waited until December 31, 2010 - the day that we were supposed to go to our province - but December 30, 2010 something unexpected happened... my mom got a message from my dad saying that our car wouldn't start. That time I knew that their plan of going to our province will be canceled.

Also, that day, I had a fever. Asthma had attacked me again. It usually attacks me whenever I have cough and colds. I thought that I will be okay the next day but I was wrong. I still had a fever. My mom and I still wanted to go to Pangasinan but my dad won't allow us to because I was sick.

At around 4 in the afternoon, my parents bought foods for our celebration. I was supposed to accompany them but I was not feeling well so I was left at home. I took care of my brother while they were gone and after they arrived I slept because I was a little bit dizzy. I just woke up at around 11 in the evening. Fortunately, I felt better.

I enjoyed our New Year celebration more than our Christmas celebration. It is because during our New Year celebration, I saw that everyone was excited... everyone was noisy and there were lots of fireworks.

Even if I didn't enjoy my vacation that much I am glad that I spent my vacation with my family. I just hope that my vacation would be much more enjoying next time. :)
